Hi! I'm a Professional Yapper at MMU and my job don't match my personality at all.

I'm currently a Lecturer at the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), Multimedia University. My research interest is meme review, and for research collaboration, I can be contacted at alvin.lim@mmu.edu.my.

Plot twist: I grew up with dyslexia and couldn't read or write in any language. 📖❌ Everything changed when my grandparents bought me a laptop. That's when I first got exposed to English, chatting with people online in a Facebook game called UberStrike, and later BlackShot. 🎮 Somewhere along the way I realised I wasn't dumb lmao, I just lacked guidance. It took me a decade to make my academic comeback, and I still can't read or write Chinese. 😅

It squeezes in-air hand gesture signature videos of any length (640×480×N frames) into a neat 10-frame Motion History Image block without losing the motion info, tested on 2,000 samples from 100 people. Fun fact: coded before ChatGPT was even released. Yeay, 100% organic brain power! 🧠🌱
